Creating easy to update websites

A new web designer quickly learns the reality that the websites are always in constant need of change (That's why CSS based website are best suited). Some web designers survives by earning their livelihood by doing odd jobs of editing and rectifying grammatical mistakes, inserting new articles. But for some this can be a real headache.

The comment goes something like this

"I have been asked to web design a site for a my friend who owns a Shoes website. They have certain products that they want to advertise on their site, which they would like to be able to update at their end whenever they choose. How can I provide them a website that updates easily? And funny thing is my clients know nothing about programming. Simple word "Programming" sounds fear in their mind."

Our answer:

You can create a data base driven web site by using powerful languages like PHP or ASP but that may make the situation grim. As some clients hardly know anything about these languages.

What if a person has negligible know-how of programming languages?

In this scenario I would suggest to use Macromedia Contribute - - it's like web designing using simple MS word but it actually works very well.
